How AdZoo collects, uses and shares information when you browse deals or run a business account.

1. Who we are
AdZoo ("AdZoo", "we", "us") operates AdZoo.shop, a local deal marketplace where member businesses post offers and shoppers search for them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have. You can reach us at the contact form (https://adzoo.shop/contact) or [Street address], [City], [State] [ZIP], United States.
2. Information we collect
We collect three broad kinds of information:
- Information you give us — a business account holder's name, business name, email, phone, store addresses and the content of the deals they post (titles, descriptions, prices, keywords, inventory counts, expiry dates and photos). Shoppers may optionally give us saved deals and search preferences.
- Private business addresses — home-based and mobile businesses give us an address so we can verify the business and work out how far it is from a shopper. When a business is marked as travelling to its customers, that address is never published on the site, never mapped and never returned by our public data; shoppers only see the city and the distance the business travels.
- Location information — if you grant your browser's location permission, we use your device position to rank deals by distance. Precise coordinates are used in your browser to sort the feed and are rounded before any server-side use; you can deny or revoke the permission at any time and browse by city instead.
- Usage information — which deals you view, open, save and share, plus standard technical data (device type, browser, approximate region from IP, timestamps and error logs). These signals power the "For you" ranking.
3. How the personalization works
AdZoo learns which categories, tags and price ranges you engage with so the feed shows more of what you like. This taste profile is built primarily on your own device and stored in your browser; recent activity is weighted more heavily than old activity so it follows your current intent. You can clear it at any time from the preferences panel ("Forget my taste") or by clearing your browser storage.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles for third parties.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Show, rank and search deals near you, including AI-assisted interpretation of plain-language searches.
- Create and manage business accounts, verify that a business is who it claims to be, and take payment for memberships.
- Send transactional messages such as receipts, expiry reminders, moderation notices and service updates.
- Detect fraud, abuse, spam and misleading listings, and enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.
- Measure aggregate performance (impressions, opens, saves) and report it to the business that posted the deal — always in aggregate, never as your identity.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the marketplace and membership), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, aggregate measurement, improving relevance), consent (precise location and non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
6. Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes below. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (you will be notified).
- Lovable Cloud (hosting, database, authentication, file storage) — Runs the AdZoo application and stores account, listing and image data.
- Payment processor — Processes business membership payments. Card details are handled by the processor — AdZoo never stores full card numbers.
- AI provider (via Lovable AI Gateway) — Interprets natural-language deal searches and optional listing-copy assistance.
- Email delivery provider — Sends transactional email such as receipts, expiry reminders and account notices.
- Mapping / directions provider — Renders store locations and hands off directions requests.
7. What businesses can see
A business that posts a deal sees aggregate performance for that deal — view counts, saves, shares and claim volume. They do not receive your name, email, device identifiers or precise location from us. If you contact a business, call them or claim an offer in store, anything you share in that interaction is between you and that business, governed by their own privacy practices.
8. Referral and ambassador data
If you arrive through an ambassador's referral link we store the referral code, a random visitor identifier, the page you landed on and the time of the click in a cookie and in our database, so the ambassador can be credited if you later subscribe. This is used for attribution and fraud prevention only — never to build an advertising profile.
If you become an ambassador we additionally collect the details needed to run the program and pay you: your legal name, display name, contact details, country and state, age attestation, payout method and handle, the terms version you accepted, and the referral, subscription and commission records tied to your code. Ambassadors see the businesses attributed to them, including the business name, plan and subscription status — never a shopper's personal information.
9. Retention
We keep business account and billing records for as long as the account is active and afterwards as required for tax and legal purposes. Expired listings may be removed or de-indexed. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it by law. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained for up to 24 months.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Use the contact form at https://adzoo.shop/contact and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
- Turn location off — revoke the permission in your browser; the feed falls back to city-level browsing.
- Reset personalization — use "Forget my taste" in preferences.
- Opt out of marketing email — use the unsubscribe link; transactional messages about your account will continue.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls and role-scoped database rules. No online service can promise perfect security, and we make no such guarantee. Report a suspected vulnerability through the contact form at https://adzoo.shop/contact; we will acknowledge it and will not pursue good-faith researchers who avoid privacy violations and service disruption.
12. Children
AdZoo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, use the contact form at https://adzoo.shop/contact and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email to account holders before they take effect.
